With great respect for a life well-lived, we said goodbye to Eric's grandmother last Sunday morning. She departed with peace and relative speed after hours of loving attendance by many of her loved ones. We will celebrate her life together this weekend with as many of her friends and family as can be there. The two children, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren are her legacy, as well as the warm feelings and friendship she extended to so many.

Eric's sister Rachel spent some time at our house last weekend and it was cool to visit. Leo was REALLY crushing on her hard and it was amazing to see the show he put on for her. He showed her all his favorite toys, danced for her, tickled and rough-housed with her, it was very sweet and a little amazing to watch how much he responded to having a pretty, young woman in the house. What can I say, my kid's got great taste for the ladies...

We look forward to seeing Eric's brother Matt. He flies in tomorrow (Friday) from Seattle for the funeral and will likely be spending the weekend at our place. We haven't seen him for more than a year and are looking forward to having some time to catch up.

In other news, Eric's Dad, Karl, had prostate surgery Monday and is recovering really well. It's a lot for all of us to deal with at once, but everyone is pulling together to help make these challenges about being with family and supporting each other.

I will try to write again in the next day or two.
Hugs...
