getting ready for the holidays

It's been a very busy week, but we have made time for family-fun. Eric and I have been busy making gifts for family; we picked out a pretty easy and useful project to give away that I will try to post pictures of it another day. Leo is doing well and learning so many things. Eric has been teaching him his ABCs and numbers and we make time for books and playing. Leo has been enjoying power tools; he loves to play with the electric drill and pretend to take apart his trike. I'm wondering when the day will be when he really does take someting apart. My dad told me he got into BIG TROUBLE for taking apart his mother's (Grandma Parker, our matriarch)sewing machine as a kid, so it got me to thinking maybe being mechanical might run in Leo's blood, which wouldn't be a bad thing at all. We have holiday doings this Saturday with my good friend and sister, Christine, and her grown daughters, my mom and dad, brother Mike, Linnea;s daughter, Gabby, and us. It's a chill time and we will get to have fun and enjoy each other's company. So to any reading this, we are wishing you a great start to the holiday season, count those blessings because a grateful heart is a peaceful heart.
By the way, Leo did something pretty funny last weekend that I thought I would share in a video, please excuse the little boy bits as I don't know how to edit them out.

hugs to all...Ciao
