Cool & Dry, nice for Humans, bad for Tomatoes

We had a nice week full of the usual hussling and bussling.

Some challenges surprised us - Wednesday afternoon my mom had a few seizures and the paramedics were called, bringing her to Regents hospital in Saint Paul. She is doing well and doesn't appear to have any damage, but they are switching her anti-seizure meds to keep that under control better.

I am spending most of Saturday down on the farm working. It's a little discouraging right now because while the weather we are having is nice for people - sunny & cool & dry, it's hard for my many tomato plants to want to grow at all, they just kind of subsist until it gets warmer. But as the month continues I'm sure it will start to get hot enough for them.

We likely have found a different childcare situation that will help us out financially a great deal. An old friend from skydiving is involved in a nanny-share and invited us to join them. It's with 3 other boys and fairly close to us, and will halve our daycare expenses. So Leo and I go to visit with the other boys and meet the nanny and see if we can be a match for each other on Monday afternoon and I am keeping my fingers crossed. It's still sad, we all love Leo's current situation and when I told Leo thins morning that we were going to take a break from MacDonald pretty soon he said he didn't want to. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can just ease into this and Leo will adapt and be flexible to the change.

I'll try to unload video next time as it's going all wonkey right now.
Enjoy the weekend,
Ellen & family
