I am finally posting our video from our Cannon River Canoe Expedition (insert loud, monty pythonish god-voice). I forgot how to upload video and was making it way more complicated than it has to be. Lots of irons in the fire - nuff said.
Things are going well and we are enjoying this first part of our summer. The Summer Solstice is coming next week and I plan to celebrate in my usual way, gardening in the yard until 10 or so when the light is simply too dim to see well. This weekend we may camp out 1 night before going up to my Dad's for Father's Day. We worked each day this weekend and Monday down on the farm and are making some real progress, now, which is a relief to all involved. (When I got down there last week with just me and Leo the weeds were so bad I was close to abandoning ship, so Eric and Eric's Mom's help has been great - I'll reward them in time with a man-shaped potato or the world's ugliest tomato, something like that).
I have been daydreaming about vacations and am trying to think of some way to go to the ocean or some other cool place as a family. I am checking into the option of home-trading, though it's a minor setback that as hosts we have to try to sell our great but admittedly very unflashy state to someone with sparkling blue lagoon waters or surfing to offer in return. We'll see.
Best wishes...
